Building Our Future – Continued

In the Spring Newsletter we asked the question, how do you assemble the perfect team? Well it continues to be an exciting time here at IDO for we always have our vision set on the future of our organization.  As we get better and better at finding opportunities to grow our team, we are excited to introduce you to three new team members, Melinda Schiltz, Emily Pittenger and Kara Mason.

Melinda Schiltz, Melinda began working full-time with IDO Incorporated earlier this year and loves being back on a team dedicated to great design. She has always had a passion and love for interiors as well for the clients she works with. She enjoys working through logistics and details to make sure the design fits their needs and creates a space in which everyone loves to work. Melinda became an NCIDQ Certificate holder in October 2004 and is working to become a Registered Interior Designer.

Emily Pittenger, has joined our IDO team as a Graduate Intern. Emily has just completed her Master of Arts Degree from Ball State University. Her story is an interesting one in that she began her career in early childhood education and made the shift to Interior Design after realizing that her passion was truly in creating spaces where people felt the most comfortable and would benefit from her designs. While at Ball State, Emily was active in the Interior Design Alliance on campus, IIDA as a student member, and a graduate assistant within the interior design program. She’s grateful to have been given the opportunity to return to school and become immersed with the field.

Kara Mason, has also joined our IDO team in the role of an Interior Design Intern. Kara graduated in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design with a minor in Anthropology at Purdue University. Her love for design started young when her cousin became an Interior Designer and introduced her to the industry. While at Purdue, Kara was involved in the “All-American” Marching Band, as well as a member of the Purdue Reamer Club (drivers of the Boilermaker Specials).

May you join us in welcoming them to our team and may you enjoy getting to know them and work alongside them as much as we have!
