  1. Bringing power to the people; ie. mobile power stations and systems to carry power throughout a space. See below in our Top Picks for a few.
  2. Residential inspired office spaces are still a big trend this year.
  3. With all of the different working applications & benching, this year we saw many desking transitions from standing height to standard height; or from social spaces to individual work stations.
  4. Height adjustability- whether it be an open benching system, private office, nurse station, or large conference table, everything seemed to go up & down.
  5. Color, light, & prisms were seen in many showrooms- Check out Knoll’s “Prism” soft seating by David Adjaye, and Light Frozen from Designtex with Phillip Low and Carl Hansen & Son.
  6. “Raw” looking edge banding with solid color tops was popular, furthering the industrial trend that is still big. Deconstructed-looking materials were popular as well.
  7. Cocoa color range veneer & laminate options seemed to be present in many of the larger furniture showrooms.
  8. Looking into the future with integrated technology and how people will use furniture over time.
  9. Flexibility- allowing users to change furniture and materials around easily when their need changes.
