Melanie Wilhelm

Melanie returns to IDO Incorporated after a 4.5 year break, to start a family and raise 2 little ones.  She comes back to us to provide part time office administrative support.  Melanie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Indiana University.  Prior to her departure to become a “domestic engineer”, Melanie worked for IDO for 12 years, primarily onsite for IDO’s largest corporate client.

She grew up surrounded by the Design and Build process.  Her Father, Uncles and Grandfather all worked as Carpenters and Superintendents.  Her Step-Father is also an Architect.  So it is no surprise she has an eye for small detail and doing the job the right way, the first time.  “Measure twice, cut once.”

Interesting fun fact about Melanie:  her Grandfather, Charles Sipe, was hired by an insurance man named John Haynes to build a house for him and his family.  The home built in Ft. Wayne, IN was designed by none other than Frank Lloyd Wright.

Melanie enjoys spending time with her 2 daughters and husband, crafting, sewing and photography.
