Growing up in a bilingual household speaking German and English, Yasha quickly became open minded to different cultures, languages, customs, and architecture. Traveling with his family made him appreciate the differences between people and think more globally.
His interests in design started when he went to high school in Canberra, Australia taking classes focused on art and design. Having grown up building with Legos, his creativity came through and an interest in the built environment blossomed. Graduating from Ball State University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and minors in Construction Management and German, Yasha started his career in Healthcare and Multi-family housing focusing on a combination of interior design and architecture practices. After transitioning to IDO, he now works on laboratory planning and design, move management, and commercial interior design. This combination of professional practices helps him think through the construction of a project.
As a board member of the USGBC Indiana Central Branch, Yasha has gained experience in sustainability and looks forward to becoming a LEED Green Associate, WELL AP, and a registered interior designer. He is excited to explore his interests at IDO and strives to become a leader in the design industry.
