Coming to you LIVE from NeoCon 2022!

Living in the world of Interior Design you hear the word NEOCON thrown out by many designers, vendors, and representatives. If you live near Chicago, it doesn’t seem like such a big deal to drive a few hours and check out the “latest and greatest” in furniture and Interior Design. However, “NeoCon” is yet actually an acronym that stands for National Exposition of Contract Furnishings and was first started in 1969. This long-standing event became the World’s Leading Platform for showcasing the newest and most innovative products companies have to offer. It is also one, if not THE, most influential event of the year for the Commercial Interior Design Industry. 40,000+ people travel from around the country and world to explore the Merchandise Mart every June in downtown Chicago. These displays of innovative designs are not only for furniture manufacturers, but ALL interior finishes – carpet, LVT, wallcovering, lighting, glass, fabrics and so much more. Companies spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to make their showrooms stand out and win awards for their designs every year.

The reason this girl loves NeoCon so much is that the spaces, colors, and patterns surrounding you when you are there spark the creative juices and provides hours of inspo moments to share. And yes, we bring these moments and learnings back to our team to share the inspiration with all and pass out one of the hundreds of bags and merch we acquire. There is something about having so many creative people all crammed into the largest floorplate (over one square mile) in Chicago that stirs something up in the soul! The showrooms pull you in and their nooks and crannies are so inviting to sit or stay and play in them all day; especially after walking the 400,000-square-foot building. Then add the infamous Chicago restaurants, the River view, and an annual must-attend event on a yacht to the mix, and you can’t go wrong. Might I say the people watching is also amazing! We have two design associates soaking in all the vibes right now so make sure to keep tabs on their adventures via our social media posts to become inspired yourself!
