Who Couldn’t Use a Productivity Boost?!

I recently read an article entitled, “9 Bad Habits You Must Break To Be More Productive” by Dr. Travis Bradberry (one of my favorite Linked “INfluencers”).  The list of bad habits read as followed:

  1. Impulsively surfing the Internet
  2. Perfectionism
  3. Meetings
  4. Responding to e-mails as they arrive
  5. Hitting the snooze button
  6. Multitasking
  7. Putting off tough tasks
  8. Using your phone, tablet, or computer in bed
  9. Eating too much sugar

I would encourage you all to read the article in its entirety, as it contains a lot of helpful and relevant tips and information.  In today’s tech driven world, it seems to be that people are constantly being bombarded with distractions and it is becoming harder to “unplug” and truly focus on the task at hand.  Don’t get me wrong, the technology advancements and accessibilities have been great for enhancing productivity but I feel like it is a true skill of the individual to be able to manage them appropriately and minimize the distractions.  Dr. Bradberry addresses some of these tech distractions as well as others in his very well written article.
