By: Cherie Anderson It has been said that diversity is the spice of life. However, what has been said has not always been lived out. We spend much of our formative years exploring the world of possibilities offered to us; only to get into our early twenties and hurriedly urged to pick something and settle down by our anxious families and mentors. They really don’t mean any harm, but as they watch us vacillate betwixt and between our many possibilities, fear taunts them that we may never become the stable, productive members of society they have coached us to be. So under extreme pressure to perform and not disappoint, we acquiesce and settle; I mean choose, what is the most practical occupation that fits our interest. But what about the other two or three areas of interest which also causes our souls to soar and feeds the inspired hunger inside…what do we with them? Do we ignore them and hope they eventually fade away? Do we throw ourselves head-on into our “chosen” field and work tirelessly; hoping it will bring to us the fulfillment of three-dimensional living we so long for.
