Habits of Leadership @idoincorporated – Part 3

GOAL # 4: Set ambitious goals One important charge for leaders today is to give people purpose. They do that by thinking of ambitious goals that will inspire the talented people around them. Ask yourself these questions: What ambitious goals is your organization striving to accomplish? Do those goals excite you? Do you see career opportunity in working to achieve those goals? If the answer to those questions is yes, then you are fortunate to be working with leaders who know how to motivate people effectively. If not, think about how you would set different goals. The best leaders know their industries better than others, and they come up with compelling visions for how their industry could be better. Our goal here at IDO for more than 24 years, has been to be the best at what we do, commercial interior design.  We are one of the only firms in our area and industry with a sole focus on commercial interior design. We’re not an architectural firm. We’re not engineers.  But we work with professionals from these disciplines across the design continuum to achieve the highest standard for our clients.  Just like the organizations we serve, we’re driven by a desire to improve and emphasize professional growth and development throughout our organization. In the end, a company can only invest so much money in an associate’s loyalty before they have to start thinking about what inspires them.  Our ambitious goal and company vision is to “advance the quality of mission critical interior environments for a happy, healthy and more productive world”.  Something our talented team strives to achieve each and every day.
