Born and raised in Lafayette (Indiana), Anne’s family includes a long line of Boilermakers. She often heard her family say “Hoosier by birth, Boilermaker by the grace of God”. This being woven into her DNA, she naturally gravitated across the bridge for college. She graduated from Purdue University with a degree in marketing and continued her education at Ivy Tech graduating with a degree in business administration.
After college, Anne spent the next 15 years working in various roles within advertising/marketing agencies. She found a passion for developing people within their roles, problem-solving, organizing, and juggling multiple marketing projects. She’s driven by creativity and simplicity. Anne, a true optimist, thrives on interacting with people, bringing people together, lending a helping hand, and building relationships that last the test of time.
Before joining IDO Incorporated in early 2020, she decided to step back from her bustling career and pursue her other full-time job, Mom. This treasured time was spent focusing on her young family by volunteering in her daughters’ school, self-reflection, and reminding herself to “Just Be”. During this time, she also put her “mom skills” to the test by embarking on the role of Shipt shopper. She was able to leverage those skills into an interesting pastime that included interacting with a variety of personalities, hearing their stories, and continuing to lend a helping hand within the community. Anne currently serves as IDO’s part-time Marketing Coordinator and Administrative Assistant and is enjoying learning about the interior design industry.
Outside of the office, Anne continues to volunteer weekly at her daughters’ school. She co-facilitates the Art With a Heart program in her daughter’s kindergarten class. AWaH provides hands-on visual arts experiences that educate and inspire children in the Indianapolis area. She also volunteers at the schools’ YMCA aftercare program. She earned the YMCA Youth Development Volunteer of the Year Award in 2019. Most importantly, she serves as the Holden Family Chaos Coordinator for two active little gals – Ruby and Piper, dachshund Bogart, and husband (of over 10 years) Justin. She is an avid crafter, organizer, party planner, graphic design enthusiast, and artist. As her parents did for her, she encourages her girls to express themselves through what they love – art, gymnastics, and dance – and continue to motivate others.
