By: Cherie Anderson This week marks the time of year when most of us take time to show gratitude for the many blessings in our lives and share with our family and friends. During this time of year, I look forward to the sights, smells and tastes of the holidays, which for me; always evokes pleasant memories of years past and awakens great anticipation of new memories to be made. I am always excited to pull out our family’s favorite holiday plates, dishes and recipes. My personal favorite is a holiday salad recipe by Emeril Lagasse. It is a festive presentation of colors with the mixed greens, oranges, pomegranate and goat cheese. Uhmm, mmm, good! Because I am purest about some things, I only make it during the holiday season. My family also has a tradition of finding and making one new mouth-watering dessert recipe. This year my husband and daughter are making a Lemon Chiffon cake. I am not sure of the origin of the recipe but I cannot wait to try it. Did I mention it will be gluten-free! I will let you know how it turns out. So whatever the recipe or tradition you and your family have, make it fresh, make it memorable. Over the next few weeks please share with us your funniest, most sentimental, new or memorable holiday tradition or story. We can all use more smiles and laughter in our very busy lives. Enjoy and good eats!
